Sorbus vilmorinii is a species of ornamental Rowan tree often grown for its exotic attractive berries. The flowers are white, and the fruit that follows is a light-pink berry which can last through winter. They are eaten by birds when there are no food suppy near. When fully grown it can be up to 5m tall. It originated from China, and was introduced to Europe in the 19th century. Like all rowans it can be cooked and used to make bitter jellies or marmalades.
